Salvatore Ferlazzo has more than 25 years of experience litigating complex matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts. His varied litigation practice involves issues such as personal injury, commercial/real estate and municipal matters, including telecommunications, cable and cell towers, and tax certiorari. He also uses his experience and legal analysis skills as an early trial mediator for the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of New York and has settled several federal matters.
He is admitted to practice in New York; the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of New York; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
A graduate of Siena College, Mr. Ferlazzo received his law degree from Western New England School of Law in Massachusetts where he graduated first in his class. He has served as law clerk to the Hon. Bernard S. Meyer, Associate Judge of New York State's highest court, the Court of Appeals.
Mr. Ferlazzo was also an adjunct professor of law at Western New England College School of Law and a barrister in the Albany Law School Inns of Court. He is a former chair of the board of directors of both the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The New York State Edition of Super Lawyers has recognized Mr. Ferlazzo as a “Super Lawyer.”
