Mr. Girvin concentrates his practice in the areas of school law, private and public sector labor and employment law and litigation.  He is experienced in collective bargaining, mediation, fact-finding, arbitration, improper practice and unfair labor practice proceedings and other labor relations matters; in employee and student discipline proceedings; in Unemployment and Workers' Compensation hearings; in administrative hearings; in state and federal court proceedings; and in providing day-to-day legal research and advice.  He is also active in private sector employment and labor law.  Mr. Girvin is a frequent speaker on labor and employment matters to include annual lectures to the NYS Association of Towns, the NYS Personnel Association and the Putnam-North Westchester BOCES.

Mr. Girvin has represented numerous clients before several state agencies with great success.  Additionally, Mr. Girvin has provided legal services for the New York State Tax Department pursuant to a contract.  Mr. Girvin has represented clients before the Public Employees Relations Board, Department of Health, Department of Labor, State Education Department, Workers Compensation and the State Liquor Authority.
