Kristine Amodeo Lanchantin concentrates her practice in the areas of Labor and Education Law, Civil Service Law and Real Estate. She is experienced in collective bargaining, mediation, fact finding, grievance processing, PERB proceedings and appeals before the New York State Commissioner of Education. Most of Ms. Lanchantin's practice is spent counseling school boards and their administrators regarding day-to-day matters involving all aspects of education and labor law. She is also active in negotiating numerous contracts each year. Her experience with collective bargaining agreements allows her to provide the firm's school district clients with various options regarding negotiating.
Ms. Lanchantin is experienced in matters involving title to real property, State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), residential and commercial real estate transfers, and the acquisition of property through eminent domain and annexation. She is a frequent speaker on the areas of education law, labor and employment law.
She is admitted to practice in New York and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland, she received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. She is a member of the New York State and Albany County Bar Associations. Ms. Lanchantin is a board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and was the 2007 chairperson of the Walk for the Cure for JDRF.
