Albany, N.Y. – Tara L. Moffett and Scott P. Quesnel have been promoted to partner at Girvin Ferlazzo, P.C.
Ms. Moffett concentrates her practice in education law with a focus on special education and disability rights. She is a frequent presenter on special education law and current issues affecting students with disabilities. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and in New York State.
Tara L. Moffett is a graduate of the University at Albany and the Albany Law School of Union University. As an adjunct professor with Empire State College, she teaches business law and employment law. Ms. Moffett is the chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Disability Rights Committee and serves on the Governing Board for the New York State Special Education Taskforce.
Scott P. Quesnel concentrates his practice in labor and employment law, focusing on helping employers comply with a variety of state and federal laws. He represents individuals, businesses, not-for-profit corporations, school districts, and municipal entities in matters that range from minor civil proceedings to complex class actions. Mr. Quesnel is admitted to practice in all New York State courts, as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Quesnel is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo and Albany Law School. Recently, Mr. Quesnel earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification, which is recognized as a credential for those who have mastered the strategic and policymaking aspects of HR management in the United States.
